Arrita Domi obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in mathematics and psychology from Earlham College in the United States. She then completed a Master of Science degree in economics at the Albert Ludwigs University of Freiburg. Her master’s thesis explored how immigration affects natives’ preferences on tax redistribution in Germany, with the Chair of Economic Policy and Constitutional Economics.
During her bachelor’s degree, she completed an internship with the United Nations Development Program’s Anti-Corruption team in Kosovo. After completing her bachelor’s degree, she worked at a ride-share company in the United States. During her studies in Freiburg, she initially worked as a student assistant at the Max Planck Institute for Research on Collective Goods in Bonn, and later as a student assistant at the Walter Eucken Institut.
Arrita Domi joined the Walter Eucken Institut as a research fellow in August 2023. Her research interests lie in behavioral economics, particularly fiscal literacy, redistribution and the welfare state, and the implications of immigration in receiving countries.
