Anna Esslinger studied Economics and Political Science (B.A.) at Barnard College of Columbia University in the United States and Economics (M.Sc.) at the University of Freiburg.

She wrote her Master thesis on the effect of tax averse behavior on labor supply at the Chair of Economic Policy and Constitutional Economics. During her master’s studies she worked as a Student Assistant and Teaching Assistant at the University College Freiburg. Prior to her master’s studies, she worked as a legal assistant and in qualitative market research. Her research interests are labor economics, experimental economics, and behavioral responses to taxation and public benefits.
