Julia Braun studied Economics (B.Sc.) at the University of Konstanz and at the Albert-Ludwigs-University Freiburg (M.Sc.). After completing her Bachelor’s degree, she worked for the MULTIVAC Group, where she first worked as an analyst in the Mergers & Acquisitions department and then as a consultant to the Managing Director. During her Master’s degree, Julia worked as a research assistant at the Walter Eucken Institute and at the University of Freiburg at the Chair of Economic Policy and Regulatory Economics as well as at the Chair of Finance, Controlling & Entrepreneurship. In spring 2022, she completed an internship at the German Council of Economic Experts, where she supported the scientific staff in the areas of business cycle, growth and productivity.
Julia Braun has been a research associate at the Walter Eucken Institute since January 2024. Her research interests focus primarily on national competitiveness, the role of innovation for long-term economic growth and issues in the field of competition policy.
