Joshua Hassib studied Political Science (BA) and Economics (MSc) at the University of Freiburg. During his studies, he worked as a research assistant at the Chair of Development Theories and Development Policy and at the Walter Eucken Institute. He also completed internships at the German-Arab Chamber of Industry and Commerce, the GIZ and the Walter-Eucken-Institut. As a working student at GIZ, he wrote his master’s thesis on the impact of gender equity on the stability of government tax revenues.

Joshua Hassib has been a research associate at the Walter Eucken Institute since August 2023. He is also a research associate at the Chair of Economic Policy and Economics at the University of Freiburg. His research interests include public finance, development economics, and economic competitiveness.
