Yannick Bury, M. Sc., Research Associate

Yannick Bury studied Economics at the University of Freiburg. During his studies, he attained practical experience at the foreign offices of Konrad Adenauer Foundation in Shanghai and Singapore, in the Economists Team of Berenberg Bank in London as well as the German Federal Ministry of Finance in Berlin. Additional to that, he has been Student Research Assistant at the Walter Eucken Institute. From 2014 to 2017 he held the position of a Policy Advisor to a Member of the European Parliament.

Since January 2017, Yannick Bury is PhD Student and since summer 2017 Research Associate at the Walter Eucken Institute. His research concentrates on different topics of (local) public finance, especially fiscal federalism. In particular, he analyses the effects and incentives of differently designed federal fiscal arrangements and fiscal equalization schemes economically and empirically.

Yannick Bury holds a graduate-fellowship of Konrad Adenauer Foundation (KAS) and is Member of the Doctoral College on Social Market Economy of KAS.
